Robert Fripp. King Crimson was conceived in November 1968 and born on January 13th 1969 in the Fulham Palace Cafe, London (Fripp/Ian McDonald/Greg Lake/Michael Giles/Pete Sinfield), coming to prominence after supporting The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park. Their ground-breaking debut In The Court Of The Crimson King (1969) described by Pete Townshend as "an uncanny masterpiece", began a career that has spanned four decades and influenced many bands and individuals including Yes, Genesis, Tool, and Porcupine Tree. Despite the original line-up imploding after an American tour King Crimson continued to produce constantly challenging and intriguing music on albums such as In The Wake of Poseidon (1970), Lizard (1970), Islands (1971), Earthbound (1972), Larks' Tongues in Aspic (1973) and Red (1974). With its powerful song about a woman who “came home with a mission,” A Few Small Repairs proved to be Shawn’s breakthrough. “Sunny Came Home” captured the ears and eyes of millions, reaching #1 at multiple radio formats and receiving heavy airplay on MTV and VH1. The album was certified platinum and Shawn was awarded two of Grammy’s biggest honors, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Shawn and Columbia/Legacy are preparing a special re-release featuring rare audio materials and enhanced artwork. Joan Osborne  "This one feels a little different," Joan Osborne says of her latest album Love and Hate. In addition to being the beloved singer-songwriter and seven-time Grammy nominee's eighth studio album and her eOne debut, the 12-song set is one of the most personally-charged, creatively ambitious efforts of her two-decades-plus recording career. While Osborne has already earned a reputation as both a commanding, passionate performer and a frank, emotionally evocative songwriter, her soulful songcraft reaches a new level of musical and lyrical resonance on Love and Hate. Such insightful, emotionally complex new compositions as "Where We Start," "Work On Me," "Kitten's Got Claws," "Keep It Underground" and the pointed title track survey some of the more complicated terrain of romantic relationships, in a manner that's rarely been attempted in popular music, while the album's intimate, stripped-down sound marks a stylistic departure from the gritty blues-based rock for which Osborne is best known.
