TURN IT AROUND: THE STORY OF EAST BAY PUNK spans over 30 years of the California Bay Area’s punk music  history  with  a  central  focus  on  the  emergence  of  Berkeley's  inspiring  924  Gilman  Street  music collective. Narrated by Iggy Pop and executive produced by Green Day, TURN IT AROUND: THE STORY OF EAST  BAY  PUNK is  the  definitive  telling  of  this  vibrant  story,  drawing  from  a wide  variety  of  voices  and viewpoints and featuring the music of many of the most famous and infamous punk bands ever.

Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day - "The music [of 924 Gilman] is important, but it’s also contributing to this alternative way of living. This was a place that was subterranean, away from the mainstream and a new way to explore new ideas of living your life."

In late 1996, Shawn Colvin released her fourth album, A Few Small Repairs. With its powerful song about a woman who “came home with a mission,” A Few Small Repairs proved to be Shawn’s breakthrough. “Sunny Came Home” captured the ears and eyes of millions, reaching #1 at multiple radio formats and receiving heavy airplay on MTV and VH1. The album was certified platinum and Shawn was awarded two of Grammy’s biggest honors, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Shawn and Columbia/Legacy are preparing a special re-release featuring rare audio materials and enhanced artwork.

Joan Osborne

"This one feels a little different," Joan Osborne says of her latest album Love and Hate. In addition to being the beloved singer-songwriter and seven-time Grammy nominee's eighth studio album and her eOne debut, the 12-song set is one of the most personally-charged, creatively ambitious efforts of her two-decades-plus recording career.

While Osborne has already earned a reputation as both a commanding, passionate performer and a frank, emotionally evocative songwriter, her soulful songcraft reaches a new level of musical and lyrical resonance on Love and Hate. Such insightful, emotionally complex new compositions as "Where We Start," "Work On Me," "Kitten's Got Claws," "Keep It Underground" and the pointed title track survey some of the more complicated terrain of romantic relationships, in a manner that's rarely been attempted in popular music, while the album's intimate, stripped-down sound marks a stylistic departure from the gritty blues-based rock for which Osborne is best known.

Opening Act: Numa Edema

In addition, Rich has pulled together a fine cast of vocalists, including lead singer John Hogg (Hookah Brown, Moke), former Crowes singer Charity White, and two additional background singers, Adrien Reju and Katrine Ottosen. Rich and his ensemble have called upon their collective influences, from R&B, country and spirituals, to artists such as Sly Stone, Neil Young, and The Small Faces - a vast musical landscape which, at its core, is pure Rock n Roll. Rich explains how the band members’ past experiences connect to the band’s moniker, The Magpie Salute. The term references a British superstition about the imperative to salute a Magpie anytime you see one in order to ward off negativity, or to have a good day; it is like saying, I am unarmed or I come in peace. Eddie will be sorely missed from the new band’s lineup: he passed away in November of 2016, but he too was a part of the energy that lead to The Magpie Salute. “Eddie was a brilliant musician. He was funny as hell. He was a good person with a great heart.
