The NY Times calls David Bromberg “electrifying.” The Basie audience knows his sold out concerts to be the most musically satisfying evening of the year. A romp through the blues, country, jazz and folk by a consummate master, backed by a 12-piece band, the Times says, “He has such control of his audience that he can, at one moment, hold it in his hand with a tender, touching yet funny anecdotal song, and then set it romping and stomping…” His most recent releases are the Grammy nominated Try Me One More (2007), of which Variety said, “A master with nothing left to prove to himself or to others, Bromberg made this album to enjoy, not to impress. Though naturally, it accomplishes both,” and Live New York City 1982 (2008), which the Philadelphia Daily News reviewed as, “An amazing concert date…the performances are killer.”
