With her husband of 28 years Neil Giraldo on guitar, hit singles such as "I Need A Lover," "Heartbreaker," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Hell Is For Children," “We Live for Love,” and “Love Is A Battlefield” became anthems for a new attitude. She was, and still is, bold, self-assured and independent; alluring but not self-exploitive; vulnerable but not weak; strong-minded without being hard hearted. She blazed a trail for female rock, not pop, stars that broke all the rules, and that fire still blazes on the concert stage.
