This session offers insight into ways the arts can assist parents and caregivers in connecting with children on the autism spectrum. So that you may attend this session, a creativity workshop for your children aged 4+ will be offered at the same time at no extra cost. Musicians and non-musicians are welcome.
INSTRUCTOR: DR. RYAN HOURIGAN
Dr. Hourigan is a Kennedy Center Teacher Artist, Author and co-founder of the Prism Project, a Ball State University Program for students who wish to work with children who have exceptionalities. Dr. Hourigan a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), College Music Society (CMS), Music Educators National Conference (MENC), the Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE), and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
