Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Production Manager provides event and administrative support in all facets of theatre operations. This position serves as the occasional lead for all front-of-house personnel with a focus on safety, customer service, revenue generation, and works closely with the Technical Director, Box Office Manager, House Manager, Bar Manager, and Security Supervisor to ensure that all events are run efficiently and successfully. The ability to work flexible hours that will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary. This person must epitomize team work and be able to work collaboratively across a range of departments. This is a full-time, exempt position. We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
Work closely with Technical Director and Stage Crew to monitor expenses
Coordinate and manage backstage catering needs
Coordinate and arrange for all transportation and lodging for artists as needed
Prepare and execute event settlements as directed by VP of Operations and/or CEO
Collect and disseminate new event information to staff
Liaise with Front of House and Security staff to ensure all event specific information has been communicated with all staff
Manage specific show budgets with an eye towards cost management
Provide direct administrative support to VP of Operations and CEO as needed
Act as event team lead in VP of Operations absence
Address and resolve customer service issues as they may arise during events
Work with renters/promoters on successful implementation of theatre rentals
Execute and administer rental contracts as needed
Maintain and enforce FoH employee performance standards
Perform a multitude of tasks as directed by the VP of Operations
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications Preferred: At least 7 years of experience in live entertainment, theatre, musical theatre, etc.
Basic knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of live performance
Experience dealing with artist contracts and riders
Superior people, communication, and customer service skills
Basic Microsoft Office experience, familiarity with Excel
Ability and willingness to work long days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

The Count Basie Theatre maintains a roster of experienced bartenders to work with the regular bar staff on an as-needed basis. Working hours are typically from 5 or 6PM to about 11PM. Experience in an upscale restaurant or nightclub atmosphere is highly desired. Scheduling is flexible.
