The Count Basie Theatre Foundation and CEL-EBRATION! Gallery bring you artwork from 'Pink Floyd, The Wall’
As the exclusive US distributor of artwork from 'Pink Floyd, The Wall’, CEL-EBRATION! Gallery will have production cels and drawings on display and available for purchase with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting the Count Basie Theatre Foundation. Saturday, March 1, 2008 Count Basie Theatre 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Open to the Public 7:00 pm through show intermission Open to Pink Floyd Experience Ticket Holders About the art: The inspired designs of artist Gerald Scarfe led to the creation of the vivid animation sequences for 'Pink Floyd, The Wall’ which constitute a mere 15 minutes of the entire film. The sequences, such as The Courtroom Scene, Flowers in a Sensual Embrace, Teacher Mincing Students, and Marching Hammers (above) illustrate Pink’s memories, nightmares, and hallucinations. Roger Waters, lead singer and songwriter for Pink Floyd originally collaborated with Gerald Scarfe to create the animation images for Floyd’s 'Wall’ concerts. The huge success of the concert tour and album inevitably led to the making of the movie in 1982. For more additional information on the art, contact CEL-EBRATION!
