About the art: The inspired designs of artist Gerald Scarfe led to the creation of the vivid animation sequences for 'Pink Floyd, The Wall’ which constitute a mere 15 minutes of the entire film.

The sequences, such as The Courtroom Scene, Flowers in a Sensual Embrace, Teacher Mincing Students, and Marching Hammers (above) illustrate Pink’s memories, nightmares, and hallucinations.

Roger Waters, lead singer and songwriter for Pink Floyd originally collaborated with Gerald Scarfe to create the animation images for Floyd’s 'Wall’ concerts. The huge success of the concert tour and album inevitably led to the making of the movie in 1982.
